This Refund and Returns Policy applies to all purchases made from Zloff Digital LLC, doing business as American Sonde Company (“ASC,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By purchasing from ASC, you agree to the terms set forth in this policy.
ASC sells professional horizontal directional drilling equipment intended for use by experienced operators in demanding field conditions. Due to the nature of electronic transmitters and jobsite environments, all return and refund requests are subject to review and are not automatically granted.
Returns or refunds are only considered for products that are defective upon delivery or that fail under normal operating conditions without evidence of misuse. All claims must be reported within thirty (30) days of confirmed delivery. Requests submitted outside of this period are not eligible for refund, replacement, or exchange.
A product may be considered eligible for refund or replacement only if ASC determines, in its sole discretion, that the item was defective at the time of delivery or has failed due to an internal fault not caused by external factors. Conditions that may qualify include a verified dead-on-arrival condition or a failure that occurs under proper use and within normal operating parameters.
All items must be returned to ASC for inspection prior to any determination. No refund, replacement, or exchange will be issued without physical inspection of the returned product.
Products are not eligible for refund or exchange if they show any indication of damage or failure resulting from external causes. This includes, but is not limited to, physical impact, dropping, crushing, improper handling, overheating, excessive temperature exposure, water intrusion, drilling fluid or mud contamination, improper installation, operation outside of manufacturer specifications, unauthorized modification, or normal wear associated with field use. Once an item exhibits signs of use-related damage or environmental exposure, it is deemed non-returnable.
ASC retains sole authority to determine the cause of any malfunction or damage based on inspection findings. Customer claims or statements regarding product performance do not override inspection results.
Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs. ASC strongly recommends the use of trackable shipping methods and shipping insurance. ASC is not responsible for items lost, delayed, or damaged during return transit.
If a return is approved following inspection, ASC may, at its discretion, either provide a replacement unit of the same model or issue a refund to the original method of payment. Refunds are limited to the purchase price of the product and do not include original shipping costs or any additional fees. Refund processing times typically range from five (5) to ten (10) business days after approval.
ASC reserves the right to deny any return, refund, or exchange request that does not meet the conditions outlined in this policy or that shows evidence of misuse, environmental damage, or unauthorized handling.
