180-Day Limited Warranty
ASC provides a 180-day limited warranty on eligible DigiTrak® compatible transmitters sold by American Sonde Company.
If a transmitter fails due to a manufacturing or internal component defect under normal operating conditions during the warranty period, ASC will repair or replace the unit at no cost.
What the Warranty Covers
The warranty applies to failures caused by:
- Internal electronic defects
- Manufacturing issues
- Sudden, unexplained loss of functionality under normal use
Coverage includes all internal working components of the transmitter.
Warranty Start Date
The warranty period begins on the date the transmitter is delivered to the customer.
ASC maintains records of all shipped units.
You do not need to retain a physical warranty certificate – your purchase record is your warranty.
Warranty Exclusions
The warranty does not cover damage caused by user error or external factors, including but not limited to:
- Compression or crushing inside the boring head
- Overheating or thermal damage
- Water, drilling fluid, or mud intrusion
- Use of improper power sources or high-voltage feed elements
- Physical impact, drops, or abuse
- Unauthorized disassembly or independent repair attempts
Any damage resulting from conditions outside of ASC’s control is not eligible for warranty coverage.

If you experience unexpected behavior or failure:

Many issues are resolved through troubleshooting and do not require a return. - If troubleshooting does not resolve the issue, we will provide return instructions for inspection.
- If the issue is confirmed as a covered warranty failure, ASC will repair or replace the transmitter promptly.
