This Warranty Policy applies to products sold by Zloff Digital LLC, doing business as American Sonde Company (“ASC,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By purchasing from ASC, you agree to the terms of this Warranty Policy.
ASC provides a limited warranty on eligible DigiTrak compatible transmitters sold directly by American Sonde Company. Each unit is inspected and tested prior to shipment; however, due to the nature of field use in horizontal directional drilling environments, warranty coverage is limited strictly to internal defects as defined below.
ASC warrants that eligible transmitters will be free from defects in materials and internal workmanship for a period of one hundred eighty (180) days from the date of delivery. This warranty applies only to failures that occur under normal operating conditions and proper use by qualified operators.
This warranty is limited in scope and applies solely to internal electronic or manufacturing defects that result in a verifiable failure of the unit. Covered conditions may include internal component failure or sudden loss of functionality that cannot be attributed to external causes.
The warranty period begins on the date the product is marked as delivered by the carrier. ASC maintains transaction and shipment records, which serve as the official record of warranty eligibility.
This warranty does not apply to any damage or failure resulting from external factors, environmental exposure, or improper use. Excluded conditions include, but are not limited to, compression or crushing within a drill head, overheating, excessive temperature exposure, water intrusion, drilling fluid or mud contamination, improper power sources, voltage irregularities, physical impact, dropping, mishandling, unauthorized disassembly, attempted repair by any party not authorized by ASC, or use outside of manufacturer specifications. Any evidence of such conditions will void warranty eligibility.
All warranty claims require inspection by ASC. Customers must contact ASC prior to returning any product. Troubleshooting may be required before a return is authorized. If a return is approved, the customer is responsible for shipping the product to ASC for evaluation.
ASC retains sole discretion in determining whether a defect is covered under this warranty. Determinations are made based on inspection findings. Customer statements regarding product failure do not override inspection results.
If ASC determines that a product qualifies for warranty coverage, ASC will, at its sole option, repair the unit or replace it with a functionally equivalent unit. This repair or replacement constitutes the sole and exclusive remedy available to the customer under this warranty.
ASC is not responsible for any downtime, loss of revenue, project delays, equipment damage, or any indirect or consequential damages arising from product failure, regardless of cause.
Except as expressly stated in this Warranty Policy, ASC makes no other warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.
